Cutting Boards

Handmade Cutting Boards, Built for the Long Haul

Whether you’re prepping dinner, carving up the weekend brisket, or gifting something that feels a little more thoughtful, our cutting boards are up for the job. Every board is built by hand in Forsyth County using solid hardwoods and a whole lot of care. They’re thick, weighty, and ready to handle real kitchen work, day after day.

These aren’t just display pieces. They’re made to be used—and to look good doing it.

Crafted Right, Start to Finish

We make every board right here in our Georgia workshop using responsibly sourced hardwoods. Each one is cut, sanded, shaped, and finished by hand—no shortcuts.

We craft all three types of cutting boards—face grain, edge grain, and end grain—to suit different needs and preferences. End grain boards, in particular, are the most gentle on your knives, making them a top choice for serious home cooks and chefs alike.
You’ll find premium woods in every board: black walnut, hard maple, cherry, bloodwood, padauk, and exotic blue mahoe (when we can get it).

If you’re looking for exotic wood cutting boards in Holly Springs or butcher block cutting boards in Canton, you’ve come to the right place.

Our Coonhound Cutting Board Collection

Each of our cutting boards is named after a Coonhound breed—because, well, it fits. They’re sturdy, hardworking, and full of character. Just like the Dogs. Just like the boards.

Redbone Coonhound

The Red Bone Collection features bold, deep red tones thanks to striking bloodwood accents. This board doesn’t just look warm—it feels like it belongs in a family kitchen. It’s thick, muscular, and ready for serious prep work. Available in edge grain or end grain only due to its density. Standard size is 18x12x1.5, but we can size it up or down if needed. Feature upgrades like grooves, handles, and engraving are available.

Starts at $150.

American English Coonhound

Built with hard maple and African padauk, this board shows off the same striking coat pattern that makes the American English breed so handsome. Strong and dependable, with a clean contrast that pops in any kitchen. Measures 17x10x1.5 and is also available only in edge or end grain. Sized for everyday use but still tough enough to hold its own in heavy prep sessions. Upgrades available.

Starts at $145.

Blue Tick Coonhound

The Blue Tick Collection brings together a rich mix of black walnut, hard maple, cherry, and wenge—but the real head-turner is Blue Mahoe, a Caribbean wood with subtle blue undertones (included when available). This board is thick, muscular, and made to handle the demands of meat prep. Measuring 18.5x12.25x1.75, it’s all edge or end grain, built to last generations. Feature upgrades are welcome.

Starts at $175.

Black & Tan Coonhound

This is the one closest to our heart—named after Ruger, our shop dog and the reason behind our name. These boards are long, heavy, and made with care. Black walnut and cherry capture the classic breed colors, while hard maple mimics that soft chestnut tone around the eyes and snout. At 20x12.75x2, this is our thickest board. Like the hound it’s named after, it’s steady, loyal, and hard to wear out. Edge or end grain only. Built for carving and serious cutting.

Starts at $190.

Basset Hound

Short, stocky, and full of charm—this board lives up to its name. Measuring 13.25x11.25x1.25, it’s perfect for smaller kitchens or light everyday prep. The Basset comes in a variety of wood combinations, each with its own character. Like those big ol’ ears, it’s a conversation starter. All boards are edge- or end-grain for durability.

Starts at $140.

Sized for Real Life

We build boards in all shapes and sizes—from compact daily-use boards to big prep blocks designed for serious slicing and carving.

Whether you need a wood block cutting board in Forsyth County or a walnut butcher board with the groove in Holly Springs, we’ll help you find (or build) the one that fits your space and style.

Optional Features That Matter

Some folks like their boards simple. Others want a few extra touches. We’ve got you either way.

You can add:

  • Juice grooves (catch spills, keep the mess contained)
  • Fluting grooves (ideal for bread or cheese boards)
  • Engraving (names, dates, short messages)
  • Handle cutouts (easy to grab and move)
  • Non-slip rubber feet ((keep the board stable and won’t mark your counters))

Did you know?

Juice grooves were originally made for carving meats so the juices wouldn’t flood your counter. Still useful, still smart—and still a favorite.

So whether you’re looking to buy a butcher block cutting board with a juice groove or want a cutting board with fluting grooves in Forsyth County, you’re covered.
