This piece begins in the deep, rich darkness of black walnut—dense, grounded, and full of quiet strength. Like the Bloodhound at the start of the trail, it represents the unknown… the place where the journey begins.
From there, the board transitions into white oak, gradually introducing lighter tones and structure. Strong, dependable, and enduring, white oak reflects the steady, methodical nature of the Bloodhound as it works its way forward—never hurried, never lost.
Scattered throughout the transition are accents of African padauk, representing scent molecules carried through the air. These vibrant notes mark the trail—subtle at first, then more present—guiding the path from darkness into clarity.
